Move Marine is a Danish e-commerce company specializing in marine equipment, with a strong international presence.

The aim of the project was to create a scalable e-commerce site, optimize UX/UI and support the international sales growth.

Role and responsibilities

I followed the project end-to-end, dealing with UX/UI design, development and optimization of e-commerce and digital processes.
Main activities:
  • Complete creation of the e-commerce site on Shopify
  • UX Design: Wireframes, User Flow, and Information Architecture
  • UI design, prototyping and mockups
  • Management and integration of a product catalog over 5,000 articles
  • Integration with eBay
  • Basic SEO and keyword research with SEMrush
  • Creation and management of newsletters (900 contacts collected)
  • Social media campaign management (Facebook, LinkedIn)
  • Collaboration with industry magazines
  • Support for expansion into international markets
    (New Zealand, Australia, Italy)
  • Logistics management, payments and customer service

Problem / Challenge

  • The previous site was not suitable for managing a complex catalog
  • The user experience was not optimized for an international audience
  • One was missing structured digital presence
  • Need to increase online sales and global visibility

Solution / Process

  • Analysis of international markets and user behavior
  • Defining UX strategies to optimize the customer journey
  • Wireframe and interface design responsive e intuitive
  • Migrating and integrating products between Shopify and eBay
  • Implementing SEO strategies to improve organic positioning
  • Creating a newsletter for loyalty and communication
  • Support for international expansion through local platforms
    (TradeMe NZ, Subito.it IT)
  • Creation of graphics and campaigns for social media

Results

  • Increase organic sales: from 1–2 orders per day to 2–3 orders per day in a few months
  • 900 subscribers to newsletters
  • +10% of contacts in 6 months
  • Structured and scalable digital presence for international markets
    (USA, Europe, New Zealand, Australia, Italy)
  • Improvement of theuser experience and the conversion flow
