6-Month Mandate | Italy-Slovenia Border

As a Cross-Border Ambassador for the European Commission (DG REGIO), I actively promoted cross-border cooperation between Italy and Slovenia. My mandate focused on youth participation, social inclusion, and intercultural dialogue, bridging the gap between institutional policy and local communities

Strategy

Policy Analysis & Research: I authored an in-depth article titled “Invisible Barriers: Social and Linguistic Gaps among Youth in Italy and Slovenia” published on the official Futurium platform. The work demonstrated critical thinking and the ability to communicate complex policy issues to an international audience

Design

Digital Storytelling: I led the production and editing of a video project featuring interviews with young people and stakeholders. This project combined a user-centered narrative approach with professional audiovisual communication

User Experience

Public Speaking & Advocacy: In December 2025, I served as a speaker at a joint presentation in Brussels, focusing on youth employability, cross-border skills, and labor market challenges

Mr. Armenia consistently demonstrated strong digital communication and design skills, initiative, and a proactive professional attitude. I strongly recommend him for professional roles in digital communication, UX/UI design, and international initiatives

Social Media Strategy

I manage the brand’s full visual and informative identity. This includes high-macro photography to ensure the authenticity and condition of collectables, as well as crafting detailed, multilingual technical descriptions. The design approach is centred on building trust—essential in the philatelic and numismatic markets—ensuring that every listing meets the rigorous standards of global experts.

E-commerce

A robust, end-to-end operational system that covers the entire supply chain: from inventory acquisition and listing optimisation to international logistics and customer relations. By integrating secure payment flows and professional shipping management, I successfully scaled the business to serve a diverse European customer base, maintaining high feedback ratings across all marketplaces.

I developed a comprehensive business model for the international trade of collectables (stamps, coins, and vintage postcards). The strategy focuses on high-precision sourcing and multi-channel positioning. By identifying rare items and leveraging platforms like Delcampe, Etsy, and Subito.it, I established a digital gateway to connect local vintage finds with collectors across Italy and Europe.

Custom UI/UX Design

I designed and built a custom WordPress site with a “minimalist library” aesthetic to ensure focus on the text. Collaborating with local team members, I managed the UI localisation into Lithuanian, ensuring the interface was intuitive for native speakers while maintaining a clean, modern design.

Solution

The result was Knygumanija, a bilingual literary portal created from scratch. This project demonstrated my ability to lead the entire design lifecycle—from UX wireframing to final localised execution—in a foreign linguistic and cultural environment

During my European Solidarity Corps in Lithuania, I conceived a digital platform to promote reading culture. I developed a content strategy that bridged my international perspective with local interests, focusing on making literary reviews accessible and engaging for a niche community.

My Role (Developed from Scratch):

I designed and developed the entire digital presence for this project using WordPress, focusing on creating an emotional and seamless user experience for a global audience.

Brand Identity Creation

Developed the artist’s first-ever digital presence from scratch, translating his physical craftsmanship into a sophisticated online gallery.

WordPress Development

Built a clean, elegant website focused on high-quality visual storytelling to match the luxury nature of the jewelry.

Content Curation

Organised the artist’s portfolio of works into a structured digital archive, making his world-class awards and exhibitions accessible to a global audience.

Macro-Photography & Visual Precision

Photographing high jewelry is one of the hardest tasks in visual arts due to reflections and the scale of the objects.

Result: A visual catalog that allows potential collectors to perceive the tactile quality of the gold and the brilliance of the stones from a screen.

Action: I directed and executed the product photography, focusing on “macro” details to show the perfection of the settings and the purity of the gemstones.

Minimalist UX for Maximum Impact

For an artist of this caliber, the website must “disappear” to let the art speak.

  • Design Choice: I chose a minimalist, high-contrast WordPress architecture. Using plenty of white space and elegant typography, I ensured that the vibrant colors of the gems were the absolute protagonists of the user experience.
  • Navigation: I structured the portfolio by “Collections” and “Awards,” making it easy for international galleries and curators to verify Zancano’s professional milestones.

Storytelling: From the Bench to the Gallery

I didn’t just show the finished product. I wanted to tell the story of the “Maestro.”

  • Content: I curated the narrative of his creative process, integrating his biography, his gemological expertise, and his philosophy. This transformed the site from a simple gallery into a Digital Museum of his career.

Technical Execution (2017 Launch)

  • Platform: Custom WordPress installation.
  • SEO: Initial indexing for “Master Jeweler Trieste” and “Artistic Jewelry Italy,” ensuring the site appeared in searches by international collectors.
  • Legacy: This site served as the primary digital touchpoint for the artist during his most prolific years of international awards.

Enrico was able to capture the essence of my work, translating the brilliance of my gems into a digital experience that speaks to the world.

Designed a modern, clean WordPress site tailored to the New Zealand market, ensuring it met the high standards of a global brand like Slow Food.

Strategy

I analysed the needs of over 30 member associations, mapping user journeys for families and institutions. The goal was to transform a fragmented information hub into a seamless, accessible digital ecosystem.

Design

I developed a clean, institutional yet welcoming visual system, rebuilding the information architecture from scratch. The new responsive layout ensures legal documents and webinars are organised with maximum clarity and ease of navigation.

Solution

A complete WordPress redesign that streamlined content management for the NGO’s staff. The result is a high-performance portal that strengthened CARE’s digital identity and national presence.

Coordinamento CARE is the primary Italian network representing over 30 associations dedicated to adoption and foster care. In 2022, I led a complete ground-up redesign of their digital presence. The goal was to transform a fragmented information hub into a cohesive, user-centric platform that serves families, institutions, and associated organizations.

Social media strategy, content creation, and partner coordination across multiple Erasmus+ projects, managing Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn for BAFI, STAI, HE4 Economics, and Eurocultura’s institutional page, with a network of 190 European partner organisations.

Strategy

Design a rotating editorial calendar adopted as the official operational framework for BAFI and STAI. Each partner publishes on their own channels by assigned week, with central coordination from Eurocultura. Managed dissemination logs and KPI monitoring toward 100.000+ views targets.

Content Creation

Produced platform-specific content grounded in official EU sources (Eurobarometer, OECD, European Commission). Created carousels, infographics, and post copy, stepping in to publish directly on behalf of partners who delegated their rotation.

Partner Outreach

Mapped and contacted 190 parner organisation across Facebook and LinkedIn using a custom tracking system. Drafted multilingual outreach messages (IT, EN, DE, ES, FR) to grow Eurocultura’s European VET network.

Managing digital communications for Eurocultura means coordinating multiple EU-funded projects simultaneously — each with its own partner network, editorial calendar, and KPIs. Since 2025, I have been responsible for social media strategy, content creation, and partner outreach across BAFI, STAI, HE4 Economics, and Eurocultura’s institutional channels, operating across Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram for a network of approximately 190 European organisations active in VET and international mobility.

Maintained shared dissemination logs — both a Google Sheet managed by the consortium and an internal Excel log — recording post links, publication dates, and engagement data after each publication. This supports KPI monitoring toward targets of 100,000+ social media views per project and feeds directly into official Erasmus+ project reporting.

Social Media Strategy

Managed Instagram and Facebook from content strategy to daily publishing — growing the combined following to 9,000 followers. Created a content calendar, visual templates, product storytelling posts, and event promotion for Lisbon’s literary community.

E-commerce

Updated the WordPress e-commerce catalogue with new book releases — writing descriptions, uploading product images, managing categories and tags, and ensuring the site remained current with the publisher’s growing catalogue of Portuguese literature.

Agency Development

Worked alongside the host entrepreneur to define my own agency model — identifying the ideal client profile (SMEs), pricing structure, service packages, and brand positioning for a web design agency focused on small and medium businesses in Italy and Europe.

Through the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme — an EU initiative supporting cross-border knowledge exchange between new and experienced entrepreneurs — I spent 6 months embedded in Tinta nos Nervos, an independent bookshop and micro-publisher based in Lisbon.

My role was twofold: I contributed to growing the brand’s digital presence while simultaneously working with the host entrepreneur to develop my own web design agency model for small and medium businesses across Europe.

Featured on the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs official website

My experience in Lisbon was selected and published as a success story on the official EU programme website — reaching thousands of young European entrepreneurs considering international mobility.
